Op Sindoor का Captain Shiv Kumar की Op Sindoor पर की गई टिप्पणी ने diplomatic हलचल मचा दी। जानिए क्या कहा गया, क्या फैली अफवाहें और असली सच क्या है।
Defence Attache क्या होता है?
सबसे पहले ये जान लेते हैं—Defence Attache क्या होता है।

Defence Attache कोटी-1 की rank वाला officer होता है, जो embassy के हिस्से के रूप में तैनात होता है।

ये एक तरह का मिलिट्री diplomat होता है, जो host country के साथ defence संबंधों को मजबूत करता है।

उनके काम में visits, training और arms cooperation शामिल होते हैं। उन्होंने इसका जिम्मा यह सुनिश्चित करने के लिए उठाया कि भारत और दूसरे देश मिलकर defence area में आगे बढ़ें।
भारत ने कुछ साल पहले अपनी रणनीति बदली—अब Africa, Asia और Europe के कई देशों में ऐसे Defence Attaches भेजे गए। इससे India की military diplomacy और strategic outreach मज़बूत हुई ।
Captain Shiv Kumar कौन हैं?
Captain Shiv Kumar फिलहाल Indian Navy के अधिकारी हैं, जो पिछले दो साल से Indonesia के Indian Embassy में Defence Attache के रूप में तैनात हैं ।
इससे पहले वह Timor-Leste में भी Defence Attache रह चुके हैं। उन्हें maritime और air power dynamics में expertise माना जाता है। हाल ही में उन्होंने Jakarta में एक seminar में हिस्सा लिया जिसपर अब चर्चा हो रही है।
क्या कहा उन्होंने Op Sindoor पर?
Operation Sindoor मई 2025 में हुआ एक एयर स्ट्राइक था, जिसमें India ने response में Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) में terrorist infrastructure को टारगेट किया था ।
Seminar में जब इसपर बात चली, Captain Shiv Kumar ने कहा कि:
“We did lose some aircraft and that happened because of constraints by political leadership to avoid attacking Pakistani military establishments and air defences.”
कुछ मीडिया रिपोर्ट्स में वो ये भी कहा गया कि IAF ने शुरुआती चरण में fighter jets खो दिए।
क्यों बनी यह बड़ी diplomatic controversy?
कुछ विदेशी नौशादों ने इसपर ज़ोरदार headline दी कि India ने कई jets खोए। Pakistan ने दावा किया कि India ने छह fighter jets खोए—जिसमें तीन Rafale भी थे ।
इंडोनेशिया स्थित Indian Embassy ने तुरन्त statement जारी किया और कहा कि Comments को:
“…quoted out of context and misrepresentation of intention…”
उनका कहना था कि Captain ने बस यह बताने की कोशिश की थी कि हम लोकतांत्रिक प्रणाली में रहते हैं—जहाँ military राजनीतिक नेतृत्व के under होती है, unlike कुछ अन्य देशों ।

Direct military installations या air defences को टारगेट करने की अनुमति नहीं थी। -

General Chauhan ने बताया था कि loss हुआ था, लेकिन असली संख्या political nuance में थी—“some” ही कहा गया। -
Embassy का clarification?
Embassy ने कहा Captain केवल structure को explain कर रहे थे, controversial नहीं करना चाह रहे थे ।
Defence Attache की भूमिका — सिर्फ रिपोर्टिंग नहीं
Defence attaches केवल रिपोर्ट नहीं करते:

वे strategic dialogues और training programs को देखभाल करते हैं

Host country के साथ joint exercises और arms deals facilitate करते हैं

India ने समझा कि ऐसे officers global presence के लिए ज़रूरी हैं—इसीलिए कई continents में नए Defence Attaches भेजे गए ।
